Accidental Destruction of a Graveyard on Private Property

My family has a gravesite that conatin 20 or more relatives that are buried on property that does not belong to us anymore. The cemetery, being in disrepaair for many years, was supposedly accidentally plowed over for farm land. Are the property owners liable for the destruction of the graves?
