back real estate taxes

i own a vacant lot 50/50 with my late ex-husband's children. i have paid the r.e.taxes for 10 yrs.they refuse to pay their half even though the county & i have contacted in writing them with no response.is there any va statue or precedent that would allow me to sell the property myself?what are my options -could I possibly get a judge to rule in a hearing or what would be the procedure?

Yes, you could sue in circuit court for partition with possible sale of the property and division of the proceeds which would allow you to be reimbursed for your having paid a disproportionate share of the taxes.
