blockage of my view by neighbors addition

my neighbor is renovating doing major renovation on his house: he is adding a floor, and doubling the area of each floor by adding to the back of the house

in the proces his new addition is blocking my view

is there anything i can do to stop the view fromn being blocked, or if not, reduce my real estate taxes for loss of view?

I know of no remedy (legal) for this type of problem nor why you should qualify for a reduction in your property tax assessment for your diminished view from your living room window.
