Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I bought a home with owner financing, contract signed and notarized. In the 3 years since, I have totally renovated the home, tore down to shell and rebuilt. Seller just sent me an eviction notice. She has stated to a friend that she sold too cheap. Seller lives in a cottage on the property and rents from us. I have an appointment with an attorney, but am sick to my stomach in the meantime. Why would her lawyer allow her to do this?

If the seller sent you an eviction notice, it is likely that she(rather than you) is still the owner of the property.

Better hope that there's something in your purchase agreement that your lawyer can use to extricate you from this legal imbroglio with minimal losses and other adverse consequences.
