Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
we bought a house in the middle of two family members. they continually mow a strip to "remind" us where the property line is. Are we right to go by the plat that is on file at the Clerk of Courts office? How close to the property line can we put a fence-can it be right on the line? What legal actions can we take if they continue to mow our property and ride their 4 wheelers on the property line-crossing it? No we need to put up no trespassing signs?

Better get an updated survey done to determine where in fact the property
line actually lies for these adjacent properties rather than relying on the plat which might be who knows how many years old and not fully accurate before taking any action(s) against these neighbors.
