building disput

my father contracted a person to build a roof over an existing platform on my land. how responsible am i for this contract? father paid half down, contractor did bad job now father will not pay the rest. what can contractor do? only a proposal was signed by my father.

If you received any benefit from what the contractor

constructed on your land, you could possibly be held responsible for the claimed cost, either whole or in part(in my opinion).
