Cancellation of Lease Agreement
Can you cancell a lease agreement once it is signed on a rental property and how long do you have to do this in Virginia prior to occupancy?

There is no grace period to cancel such leases in the Commonwealth. In other words, you cannot cancel such a lease without incurring a penalty unless, of course, the landlord agrees to let you out of it without such penalty.
