Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Cleared the wrong lot

I purchased a wooded building lot in virginia in jan 0f 2004. The lot I was shown, I assumed was lot 7, I am approaching retirement from the military, and have cleared a portion of the lot, and have secured a loan, and ordered a modular home to be delivered around 01 Oct. Last night, a neighbor accross the street whoe works in the county zoning office called me and said she thinks I may have cleared the wrong lot. The county health dpt has already granted me a septic and well permit, and my builder said last night he got a building permit last week. - Now, this turns out to be lot 6 not lot 7, and the owner of lot 6 recently sold his lot - however with a for sale actually on what is supposed to be my lot - lot 7. I hope this makes sense. My neighbor says I may be able to get a deed of correction done, I am going to have the lawyer who represented me at closing talk to the lawyer for the folks who looked at lot 7 and bought it thinking it was lot 6.

I have invested over $10,000.00 dollars in clearing and sand in preparation for my retirment home. I'm military, don't have a lot of money. Does this sound fixable? Possibly just switching the lot numbers - if the other buyers agree to that? Advice?
