Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Condo neighbor claims my parking space is hers!

The previous owners of 2 condo units in the same building switched parking spaces (which are numbered and reserved for each owners exclusive use, but not owned), then the owners both moved out and sold their respective units. The parking spaces are about 3 spaces apart. Jump ahead 5 years, at which time one of the owners thinks the spaces should be switched back. What do you think?

Better get the Condo Board involved, if necessary, to resolve this dispute. The association should have records of who occupied what and when and how each property with its attendant parking space was conveyed during the relevant time periods. If necessary you could examine the respective deeds which may be online in the land records section of the circuit court to make whatever further determinations are required to resolve this "condo controversy".
