Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My daughters father purchased property while we were together. Stupidity I did not request my name be on the title. So for several years I along side her father worked my butt off cleaning up and helping to remodel the property. Now he has a new girlfriend and the property that was purchased with the intend for my daughter and I to live there along with him, I am told it is all his and there is nothing I can do about it. Now I am stuck in an apartment and he ruined my credit so I can not move. All that work for nothing!
