Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

diclosure/diclaimer

I put the siding on a home over 7 years ago. I sold this home over 4 years ago. The owner wants me to replace the siding because it is blowing off now. The old building inspector said I did everything Ok the new one has told the owners I did it wrong. They signed a disclaimer at closing and had a home inspection and just some minor things where found. ( door latches, that kind of thing) now the owner wants to sue me to fix the siding. I thought I was protected by the disclaimer because it was an old home originaly and the disclaimer says I make no garentees of the home.

Re: diclosure/diclaimer

If you in no way misrepresented the condition of this siding nor the manner in which it was affixed to the house to these buyers at the time of the sale, you should not be legally responsible under Virginia law for now having to replace it under the facts which you've described.
