Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Disclosure

I bought my condo in 2004 and it has hardwood flooring in one room of the unit. The bylaws do state no hardwood flooring but my resale disclosure has a inspection report that was done by the management company stating that there were no violations. I was told by my real estate agent as well as several property managers over the years that the inspection report covered me regardless of what the bylaws state. Is that correct? Is that grandfathering
