Division of joint property
We were married 15 years; he started abusing me and my pets after 3 years. I sold my home and assets and paid off all of our bills and placed the rest in his house and checking and saving account. He had built the house 6 years prior for his first wife that past away , to our marriage. I packed up and left after 15 years of abuse; he also said If I didn't leave he kill me and what pets he hadden killed. I have lost my alamony and retirement because the lawyer I had didnot continue my case. The divorce was finial last year. Now he want me to sign over the house and property. What can I do ? Also I was not allowed to use his charge cards or the checking or saving account. Since I had no money and he did not give me any , I charged food , clothes, and other household needs on charge cards . My name only ...Total of about $45,000.00 owed.I thought I could file bankrupty to recover some of the property. Total worth of all property , about $140,000. Help me please!
