Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My father is about 90 yrs old. He has property in king george. as a younger man my father put a lady name on his property deed. He considered her to be his common law wife but never married. no certificate or documentation. My dad was not married to her. On his property is a name of this lady with my fathers last name. There is no such person. How do I remove her from the deed?

handles real property law and probate matters and who can advise you, accordingly.

It would seem worth noting, however, that there was, apparently, a real person to whom a half share undivided interest in this property was deeded by your father, although her surname may have differed from that which was referenced on the deed.
