Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I filed paperwork for a name change on real estate property on Friday, the 19th of November. I included a Do Not Publish note on the paperwork and was told that the local newspaper would publish this information in the newspaper regardless of that note. I realize this information is public record but is there a way I can prevent this from being published. I have spoken with the gentleman at the newspaper and he said he was publishing this no matter what.

No, I don't believe there is if the matter at issue is a public record and the
publication is required as part of the court's order governing this
name change
