Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Foreclosure - renter's rights?

We are renting a house with a lease through Sept. 2007. We just found out that the house is in foreclosure and will be auctioned in 3 days. What rights do we have as current tenants of the property?

Re: Foreclosure - renter's rights?

Whoever ends up purchasing the house through the foreclosure action will take title to the property subject to your lease which means that you will be able to stay there until your lease expires(assuming that you commit no violations of said lease).
