Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I just found out my house is going to auction on 1/17/13. My ex husband was supposed to be making payments but I just found out via the local newspaper that the house is going to be sold. Both our names are on the deed but his name is the only one on the first and second mortgage (I also did not know about the second mortgage). What are my options? We agreed I would live in the house until 6/13 and at the time my son graduates I was going to sign over my intrest in the house and deed it to my ex. PLEASE HELP!

Even if the house is sold at auction in January of this year, it's quite
unlikely that you could legally be forced to move out before June, or, perhaps, even somewhat later than that (in my opinion).
