Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My girlfriend lives in my house - I am the owner and leinholder. Our relationship is pretty much over yet she doesn't seem to be wanting to leave. There was never any kind lease that was written. If we eventually separate as a couple, are there any legal steps to an eviction that would have to occur?

Yes, you must file what's called a Warrant for Unlawful Detainer and is filed in the clerk's office (civil division) of your local general district court. It is the same

legal process landlords use to evict regular tenants who are in violation of their lease agreements.
