Heir to property

My sister and I are the surving relative of our grandmother that was nice to person owning land. We paid the taxes to keep land from being sold at land sale. We need to find out how we can get a clear title and deed to the property. We need a lawyer and or person to tell us how to proceed. The persons in the area are connected and have been trying toget this land.
