Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
Hi,
I have borrowed something from a friend and now they are demanding that I give it back to them. I told them I can return the object on Saturday and they said no... they need me to return it today and if I do not, they are going to the police. They asked me to return it on Monday. I think that saying I will return it in less then a week's time is resonable. However, they are saying that now since I will not return it I have commited a crime... theft by conversion. Is this correct or can I just return it Saturday without worrying about the cops coming to my office or something?

Theft by conversion under the circumstances described? No, I
doubt such would be provable beyond reasonable doubt.
