Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My HOA is imposing a special assessment to reimburse the higher than expected expenses of snow clearing from last Winter (09-10). I purchased my home in June. Am I responsible to reimburse the HOA for services performed when I didn't live there?

Would seem to likely depend upon what the bylaws of your HOA have

to say about the issue.
