Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Housing agreement

I am a student at old dominion university where they have on campus apartments that require a 12 month lease. I have lived here for 2 years and it has been a complete nightmare. I have had a roommate steal, bring strange guys here, fight, possess marijuana and a handgun, and so many other things that she eventually was removed after numerous complaints by myself and other roommates and even have had to stay somewhere else for 24 hours because of her. I still have roommates that are constantly loud and filthy and my parents no longer want me here. I feel that my mental health, well being, and grades have definitely been affected by these circumstances. I want out of this place. I renewed my lease as a backup plan with intentions of cancelling it on may 31st which was the date i orignally saw on the website so i sent an email on the 14th to cancel. I then find out that the cancellation date was may 1st. They have a long waiting list of people who need housing and i have to get out of here. I have to file for an appeal and i want to know what reasons i should use in order to increase my chances of having the appeal approved. What else can i do? Please help!

Re: Housing agreement

The ones which you've already mentioned in this question should suffice as pretty credible reasons for your appeal.
