Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My husband and I are about to enter into a lease for rent to own with my grandparents moving in also, the owner of the home now had asked us to right a financial plan between us and sign it. Can this be held over a lease so the lease is no longer in effect, or can he hold that against us in anyway?

No idea what he's talking about nor how such a plan might affect

your contract for deed.
