Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
land disputes
my land meets a dirt road & the dog lot & my drive meets that road now my nbr on the other side of the dirt road says my dog lot will have to be moved it has been there prob 15-20 yrs & my driveway even longer. Also I built a drive into my barn joining the same road that has now been there abt 5 yrs. Are they grandfathered?

Re: land disputes
Grandfathered? Not hardly, but it's possible that you may have an easement of some sort over the adjoining property with respect to the driveway. The dog lot, (whatever that is), you will likely have to move if it's mostly or entirely on your neighbor's property.
The first step (if you haven't already done so) would be to get an updated survey on your property to see
exactly where the property lines fall between your land and that of your neighbor.
