Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I "Lease to Own" Tires and Rims from a company. Have paid $1,500 out of $3,500 so far but have not paid on the Tire and Rims for two months due to money issues. I told the company that i wanted to return the items back to them but i was told by the company that they had pressed charges with the Police department and they do not want the Tire and Rims back. What can i do? if i can't afford the items now and i want to return it. What can i do?

The company's claim "that they had pressed charges with the Police

department" is undoubtedly what might be termed "blowin' smoke", i.e.,

there's nothing to it as what you've described appears to involve a purely

civil rather than a criminal matter that would warrant the attention of

law enforcement.
