Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I left belongings, with the permission of the property owner, on another man's property. No contact was ever made with me stating I needed to remove these belongings. Upon my arrival to remove my belongings, they have been sold and/or given away. What is my legal recourse in this situation?
