What's legal process to buy into daughter's property to protect my investment?

Daughter and husband behind 3 months mtg. wants to divide property into 11 lots. Dont want to see her loose it. Already have $$$ invested from helping in past. How can I best protect myself and get my money back?

You absolutely need to get a real estate lawyer in the state where the property is located to advise you and prepare the appropriate documents. There are a number of ways to do this with various degrees of risk and benefit and different tax consequences. Which is best depends on the circumstances.
