Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
We have been given lifetime rights to live on a piece of land belonging to a good friend. His grand children are in his will as heirs. We're afraid they will make us move, how do we best protect ourselves.
Supposedly they can never sell the lane except to pay taxes? Can this be true?

Without reviewing the document which supposedly conveyed to you these
life estates as well as the will of this "good friend", I couldn't offer an opinion
on this matter.
