Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I live in a condo. The fitness room is above my condo. When I first looked at the place I was assured that I would not be able to hear people running above 24 hours a day (not in writing though.) I have been fighting having the treadmills removed (the worst offenders) for a few years now. They put in padding, but it has done little to reduce the noise and vibration. In fact, when one of the treadmills broke they were eager to spend $3600 on a new one because, "people who move into the building expect there to be treadmills." Said by one of the women who will not take her walks outside. My question is, do I have any legal recourse in getting the treadmills removed. I believe it is the culprit in the rise in my blood pressure.

Very unlikely (in my opinion). The only way to get them removed under these circumstances is quite likely limited to the election of new board members who favor your position and the removal of the treadmills.
