Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

i'm currently living in PA and renting property in VA. Occupants have not paid, they are over 18,000 in the rear, i have asked them to vacant, what steps should i take to remove them and get my past rent that is owed?

Have filed in the local general district court what's called a warrant

for unlawful detainer with a request for a judgment for all back rents owed

which remain unpaid at the time of the filing along with a writ of possession.
