Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I have made my Down payment on a modular home in the price of 50,000 dollars. The paper that I signed states that the total amount of the modular home is 89,000 dollars.
Also the seller has gave the bank falsified paperwork stated that the house is 140,000 dollars. we submitted the down payment over two months ago and we still do not have our house could you assist me in some guidance on what to do next? the seller is trying to get over on us what should we do

I would say that your next step should likely involve your hiring an attorney
to get this deal rescinded and whatever money you've invested in it as a
"down payment" returned to you.
Your question is rather vague both in terms of the details of your situation and also the open-ended question "what to do next?" This is not just a simple question but really the sort of open-ended advice that a lawyer woudl give in mapping out an entire game plan fo ryou.
First, are you sure that the total amount of the modular hom eis $89,000, or that is the balance remaining after the down payment? $89,000 + $50,000 = $139,000. That does not sound like a coincidence.
Second, why is the seller giving the bank paperwork? What is the role of the bank in this? Are you taking out a loan? Or are THEY taking out the loan?
What is the effect of the seller saying that the house is $140,000?
I know you are anxious, but it sounds to me like 2 months is not a lot of itme for an entire house. I probably do not understand enough about this situation or the details of the plan.
