Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
My mortgage company is dragging their feet in taking control of the house. I havent paid mortgage in two years. This is very stressful on waiting for them to tell us when to vacate the property. If I just move, what is the legal way I should go and not be responsible for the property while they are preparing the paperwork

If this property has been foreclosed and is now the subject of new ownership,
then you should be able to leave any time without being concerned as to any continuing responsibility for what may (or may not) happen there.
