Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

i moved out of a property mortgaged in both my name and my parents names... 20 days later, I want to move back in.. but parents want to short sale now--I have not given them power of attorney to do so, nor is mortgage in default..Ive paid on it for 9 yrs... can I move back with no reprocussions besides the family dispute?

Yes, if your name is on the deed to the property; otherwise no (in my opinion).
