How much notice is required when there is no lease other than a verbal tenant/landlord agreement in Virginia?

Assuming that the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act (VRLTA) is not applicable, the required notice would then be whatever the oral agreement says it is. If the oral agreement doesn't address the issue, then the notice would likely be whatever is reasonable under the circumstances which would probably be 30 days advance notice to either party.
