Obligation to pay road maintenance fees

Are you required to pay yearly road maintenance fees on a private road if the property owners association is not a legal entity? We signed an agreement when we purchased the house to pay yearly road maintenance fees

You would be well advised to take this matter up with an attorney who should then have the opportunity to review the agreement and the nature of this association which you claim "is not a legal entity" and who then should be able to advise you, accordingly.
