Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Property Management Contract Cancellation

Hello, I have been working with a property management company in Richmond VA for over 3 years. I recently told them that I will like to cancel my contract due to upcoming military deployment and that I cannot afford their services any longer because my mortgage went up, but they refuse to cancel my contract. I told the manager that I don't want them to rent out my house, because the contract said, even if I cancel and the company find my rental, that I still have to pay them for the period of the lease. I found out yesterday that the property management company went ahead and put a rental in my property without my approval. How can I go about getting out of this mess?

Also, if i decide to sue them, what can I sue them for?

Now, i don't have a place to put my house-hold goods while I am deployed because they had rented out my house. Also, they rent out my house for $1200 instead of $1350. Please help!

Re: Property Management Contract Cancellation

Better engage the services of an attorney to review this lease and to undertake in your behalf whatever action is required to disentangle you from this property management company which apparently doesn't want to let go.
