Property Possession

my roommate abandoned the lease leaving me to find another roommate to assume her portion of the contract. the furniture in our living room was paid for by her. I paid her for half of the cost of the furniture. she has been gone since nov 2009. she has threatened to take back the furniture but has not acted on the threats. I have had the furniture in my possession since she left in november. Do i legally own the furniture since she abandoned it?

Probably not, if this former roommate is apparently still making noises about coming to claim the furniture.
