Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
We purchase a new construction house. The base price was listed for $389,900. We had an appriasel on the house and it came back somewhere in the $360's but the builder was unwilling to take a cut. We had the house reappriased, spoke with the appriaser, and it came back a little above base price. All of the houses are exactly the same with all the same 'upgrades' but now two months later they have dropped the price down by $30,000. I believe the builder should show good ethics and discount us (the only people that paid their first base price) what the new homeowners are getting. Can this be done?

Sure, if the builder agrees. Otherwise, best to forget it.
