Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Can I purchase a home and land with a VA loan, then do a family divide to make a new parcel, where my father can build his own home on? Or would the lender not allow that?

What you've proposed would probably not be allowed under the VA's and/or

lender's rules and would therefore likely trigger a so-called

"due on sale" clause, but you could check with them for a more definitive

answer.
