Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I purchased property last year. During the title search, a mechanics lien is discovered to be on the property. I know own the property and the lien is still on the property. I thought the bank (owner) was to pay the lien. What happens when I now sell the property? Will my title insurance cover the lien?

The mechanics lien may well have expired. It is valid for 6 months from filing, unless a suit is filed to enforce the lien. You need to check if suit was filed.
