quitclaim deeds

My mortgage has my ex-husband on it, the mortgage company said I needed to do a quitclaim deed to that my current husband and I can refinance and free up my ex-husbands va loan status. There are different quitclaim deeds and I don't know which one to use...individual to individual, individual to husband and wife...Please help!

You should select a quitclaim deed form that's appropriate for use in the Commonwealth and, ideally, one that provides for one spouse to deed

his or her interest in the subject property to

the other.

Once properly executed, this deed must then be recorded with the land records of the circuit court where the property is located in order to take effect.
