My husband and I purchased a home that was shown to us by two agents. We did not feel as though agent #1 was representing our interests, and switched to agent #2 as we felt this person would be more helpful and trustworthy to help us through our first home purchase. We closed just a few days ago. The agent we purchased the home through called me today and told me that agent #1's broker called agent #2's broker asking for the commission. Is she obligated to this? We live in Virginia. Luckily, this will not affect me monetarily, however I am very upset and irritated and want the agent that helped me to get the commission. Thank you.

Did you sign anything with "Agent #1"?
Did you do anything to formally discharge #1?
