Real Estate Tax Law

I have reason to believe that the lender of my 2nd mortgage is not reporting my interest payments to the IRS. The 2nd mortgage lender was also my mortgage broker which I did not find out till recently.

Well, even if such is the case, if you know what the

interest payments have been for the tax year at issue, you still should be able to claim the interest deduction on Form 1040 Schedule A and append a note that these particular interest payments may not have been reported to the IRS by the lender.
