Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

I recently purchased a home in Northern Virginia and many expensive repairs were not disclosed to me in the home inspection or by the seller--such as air conditioner, heater, rotten wood, holes in walls, & leak in kitchen ceiling. In addition, monies being held in escrow at the time of the closing to fix the gutters are not being released to me. I feel like there was collusion among the realtors, home inspector and sellers. What are my options now since communication with these parties isn't getting me any closer to financial assistance in repairing these problems.

You may possibly have separate causes of action against the home inspector

for breach of his duty to perform a proper inspection; against the seller possibly for fradulent inducement/misrepresentation if s/he failed to disclose defects in the home after being specifically questioned about them; and against whoever is holding up the release of the escrow funds for gutter repair for whatever civil wrong(s) he or she may have committed in this regard.

Given the foregoing, it would seem that it's probably about time for you to engage the services of counsel to look into these matters for you.
