Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
i recetnly broke up with my gf, i live in virginia and she lives in new jersey. i bought a $800 laptop for her as a gift, now that we are no longer together., i would like to ask for it back. can you pls help me?

If you gave the laptop to her as a gift, then it's her personal property
and she has no legal obligation to give it back to you.
However, the above notwithstanding, you could still ask her to
give it to you. (Afterall, as Ole Clem Kadiddlehopper used to say: "Them
that don't ask (usually) don't get".)
