Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

recovering deed rights from a quit claim

My mother and late father were co-owners with my brother and his wife of a condo in Virginia until July of 2005 when Ma signed a quit-claim (dad had died in 2003). Can she recover her co-owner rights? If so, what is the statute of limitations in Virginia on doing so?

Re: recovering deed rights from a quit claim

Deeds (quitclaim or otherwise) are generaly not reversible. Now, if there was fraud or an issue of your mother's capacity, there may be a claim. I suggest conslting with an attorney.
