removal of personal property

Employee stayed in company owned camper. Quit with no warning. Camper was in NC he lives in VA, we are domiciled in VA - asking us to return his personal property to him (tv, sheets etc.) in VA. We have told him to pick it up in NC himself. Would like to notify him in writing that he must pick up the property in 30 days, or forfeit the rights to the property. Is this legal? If so is there a form letter?

There's no form letter but you should easily be able to write one along the lines which you've suggested.
