Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

rental property attachments

We have been renting a house approximately one year and since have placed a shed on the property. Our lease is up in August and wanted to know can we legally take our shed with us or sell it? Or is it now the property of the owners of the house (the rental property)?

As long as the shed is not attached to the house

and stands on its own, unconnected in any way, you should be able to take it with you or dispose of it in any manner that you choose.
