Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

repair from lightning damage

We are renting a house in Va. and the garage door opener motor was burned out due to a lightning strike. It also knocked out the sensors in another garage door. In the lease in the Addtional Terms section it states that the tenant is to pay a repair deductible of $75 for each service or repair. Since this is an Act of God not something we did as tenants does this $75 apply?

Re: repair from lightning damage

Well, unless you claim that it should not apply to this situation, then it probably will.
