Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Sale of deceased wife's home by children

My dad's wife left her home to HER children when she died. My dad had been married to her 38 yrs. He died 2 yrs later. Are dad's children entitled to any of the money when the home is sold ?

Re: Sale of deceased wife's home by children

You have ommitted key facts as to whether either of the deceased spouses

had wills or died intestate(no will)and have failed to clarify exactly who the deceased wife's children are with respect to "dad's children", and the nature of the property that the deceased wife supposedly left to "HER children", i.e., was "her home" the marital family home which the spouses had resided in during the course of their marriage or some other property that the deceased wife had inherited or had somehow purchased independently of her deceased husband?
